Job Title: Tool Designer 12 month renewable contract 5 days onsite Location: Mississauga, ON Postal Code: L5T Area codes: 647, 416, 289 Keywords: #tooldesigner #tool.designer.job #mississaugajobs Belcan Inc. is looking for a Tool Designer to join the tooling design department which specializes in various types of tooling, such as manufacturing, assembly, test cells, gauging and measuring, modular, development, lifting and handling, and cutting tools. As a Tool Designer, you will be:

• Designing tools that meet design standards are safe, functional, and producible, with or without reference.
• Analyzing customer requests assigned by the group leader to offer the customer appropriate and effective solutions.
• Producing 3D designs and detailed drawings.
• Performing design reviews with internal customers.
• Supporting the various projects for engine assembly lines and manufacturing lines.
• Participating in problem-solving sessions, project follow-up, and technical brainstorming.
• Making technical recommendations, when necessary, to project managers to optimize the design.
• Analyzing and dispositioning non-conformities following tool inspection/reinspection.
• Participating in tool validation during the tool try-out (as needed).
• Providing user training on the use of tooling (as required).

• College diploma with a minimum of 3 years" experience, and/or Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years" experience in mechanical design, preferably tooling.
• Experience in die design is an asset.

• Proficiency in Catia V5 software 2D and 3D
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M standard.
• Knowledge of the different manufacturing processes (turning, milling, grinding, drilling, etc.).
• Knowledge of mechanical design principals
