Clearance: **Must have an active Secret Clearance. ** Position Description: Network Runners is a highly motivated Computer Support Specialist to support the 492nd Special Operations Wing (492 SOW). The Computer Support Technician will support Wing leadership, Wing staff, and the 492nd Special Operations Training Group staff, at Hurlburt Field, FL and the Wing staff at Duke Field, FL.
This position is located at Hurlburt Field, FL.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide support and lead setup of special network/communication (COMM) projects.
- Provide onsite video tele-conferencing support and troubleshooting/repair capability, lead, and plan COMM support for new offices and moves and manage asset accounts.
- Manage Verizon and AT&T telecommunication accounts.
- Ensure Non-secure Internet Protocol Router and Secret Internet Protocol Router devices are current and up to date, and address system quarantines in the case of "spillage".
- Report security incidents and execute corrective security procedures.
- Process requests for organizational box certifications, in-process new users to ensure access to all share drives, distros, and organizational boxes.
- Remove and replace telephone instruments, install, and troubleshoot all issued mobile email access, and troubleshoot/service classified blackberry enterprise service devices.
- Perform client-level Personal Wireless Communication Systems functions except for land mobile radios.
- Plan, schedule, and implement installation and maintenance functions associated with mobile devices and determine extent and economy of repair of malfunctioning equipment.
- Manage implementation, project installation, and ensure architecture, configuration, and integration conformity.
Position Requirements: - Knowledge of Air Force (AF), AFSOC, and Special Operations Forces (SOF) organizational structures, functions, procedures, command relationships, and responsibilities.
- Currently possess an active Secret Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen. Secret clearance required.
