Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Manager of Mailroom & Copy Center Operations to oversee the daily functions of our campus mailrooms and copy center. This role is ideal for someone with strong supervisory skills, a commitment to operational excellence, and a passion for supporting students, faculty, and staff. This position may occasionally require evening, weekend, or holiday availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all student, faculty, and staff mailroom functions

Supervise mail/package distribution, mail stop assignments, and campus delivery routes

Train, lead, and schedule one part-time staff member and student employees

Ensure accurate package scanning and timely delivery, including to intelligent locker systems

Provide high-level customer service and resolve delivery-related issues

Maintain USPS, UPS, and FedEx shipping knowledge and processes

Copy Center Operations:

Lead daily print production, including scheduling, quality control, and project coordination

Operate and maintain high-speed color/monochrome printers and bindery equipment

Communicate with campus clients to meet timelines, troubleshoot issues, and suggest cost-effective solutions

Maintain inventory and perform minor equipment repairs or coordinate service

Manage copy paper distribution across campus departments

Administrative Duties:

Process time collection, payroll, deposits, and cash handling

Generate reports on operations, including postage usage and tracking

Maintain accurate key distribution records and handle confidential materials

Monitor and support safety and efficiency procedures

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred

Strong supervisory and leadership skills

Experience with mailroom, shipping, or printing services preferred

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Knowledge of USPS rates, locker systems, and MS Office (Word, Excel)

Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically active duties throughout the day

Prior experience in a higher education setting is a plus
