You'll gain hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), general accounting, and data-driven reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly financial close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Support FP&A functions, such as budget preparation, financial modeling, and performance tracking.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal stakeholders.
Maintain and improve financial dashboards and reports using Excel and/or Power BI.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and forecasting support.
Help ensure compliance with GAAP and support audit preparations.
Track and document key financial KPIs, trends, and business drivers.
Support ad hoc financial and data analysis projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Actively pursuing CPA licensure (or plans to enroll within 6 to 12 months).
3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related internship/co-op.
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and FP&A fundamentals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts); Power BI or other BI tools is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
Experience with Salesforce.
Exposure to SQL, data modeling, or automation tools.
Understanding of business intelligence, budgeting tools, or financial software.
