Position Overview

 
Quotient is seeking a Test Engineer to join our team! This role requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in software testing, debugging, and performance tracking. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and at least five years of experience in software testing, system reliability, and automation. The role involves collaborating with development teams, creating and executing test plans, maintaining test records, and utilizing automated testing tools such as Rational Functional Tester and Team Foundation Server. Proficiency in Visual Basic, VBScript, SQL queries, and relational databases is essential. The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance is required.

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following capabilities:
  • Collaborating with management and development teams to understand user and system requirements.
  • Designing, developing, and implementing testing plans for simple/complex software components based on technical requirements.
  • Creating and applying metrics to track system reliability, scalability, and performance. Diagnosing and debugging failures uncovered during testing.
  • Maintaining records of test progress, documenting test results, preparing, and presenting results.
  • Assisting with the implementation of the Rational Unified Process to software development testing.
  • Creating or customizing automated testing tasks using available Rational Functional Tester.
  • Communicating status of the software testing to management.
• Must be proficient in Visual Basic or VBScript or other scripting languages.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL queries.
• Experience with automated test tools and Team Foundation Server
